FSA MODEL UN TEAM TRAVELING TO STATESBORO, GEORGIA
The FSA Model UN Team is excited to be traveling to Statesboro, Georgia this week for our first state-wide Model UN competition of the year. We will be spending two days at Georgia Southern University where students will be immersed in exciting educational opportunities. In addition to the Model UN assembly itself, students will have the opportunity to learn information relevant to their countries from professors and experts in their fields.
The nations represented by FSA during this competition are Pakistan, Morocco, Bangladesh, Jordan, Kenya, and Japan. Students will take part not only in the General Assembly, but also the Security Council, Human Rights Council, Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and African Union.
The students have been putting in long hours to prepare to best represent our six different countries in several caucuses. We are fortunate to have the help of former FSA Model UN team members that are now in high school coming to coach and give advice this week regarding the competition.
Our students have been working very hard in preparation for this, our first competition of the year and we are very excited about this opportunity to participate in the first Model UN. Please wish the team the best of luck!
