GREAT RESULTS AT AMERICAN MATH COMPETITION (AMC 8)

The AMC 8 is a 25 question, 40 minute multiple choice examination in middle school mathematics designed to promote the development and enhancement of problem solving skills. Over 150,000 students with very high Math skills attend AMC annually. This year, 10 FSA students received recognition at this challenging competition:

Best Robot Performance Award

FSA ROBOTICS TEAM WON  “BEST ROBOT PERFORMANCE AWARD”

This year, we have three robotics team competing at the FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Robotics Competition. One of these three teams, ROBODINOMITE competed this past Saturday, December 8th at the Georgia Official Qualifying Tournament. Our team not only won 3rd place and qualified to compete at the Super Regionals but also won “Best Robot Performance Award”. Our team includes following students: Joseph Pederson, Gwyneth O’Sullivan, Eemil Harkonen, Hakan Aktas, Ali Aktas, Fatih Aktas, and Yusuf Tas. Comgratulations to these students, their families and our coach, Mr. Kaya for this wonderful acheivement. We wish them success at the Super Regional Competition on January 12, 2013 at Clayton State University. Two other FSA Robotic Teams will be competing at the Georgia Official Qualifying Tournament this weekend. We wish them success as well. Please see pictures from the competition below:
